About Us
Purton Kingsdown FC brings together the long history of Purton FC and the adult section of Kingsdown FC, creating a stronger senior football pathway for men, women and girls in Wiltshire.
Our Story
Purton Football Club dates its modern history to 1923/24, with evidence of football in Purton going back even further. In May 2025 the adult section of Kingsdown joined with Purton, creating Purton Kingsdown FC and bringing the clubs’ senior football pathways together.
The club now fields four men’s teams and five women’s/girls teams, with a focus on competitive football, player development and community involvement.
The club is powered by volunteers, coaches, committee members, sponsors and supporters who give their time and expertise to keep football thriving in Purton and the surrounding area.

About Our Club
Purton has a proud footballing history including historic cup success in the 1920s and 1930s, periods in the Hellenic League and a return to the Wiltshire Senior League. The women’s section began in 2022 and won the Wiltshire Women & Girls League and Cup in its first season.
The current Purton Kingsdown FC structure combines that history with a broader pathway across men’s, women’s and girls’ football. The club’s home is The Red House, Church Street, Purton.
Our Committee
Our club is managed by a dedicated committee of volunteers who work behind the scenes to keep Purton Kingsdown FC running and provide a positive, safe and enjoyable football experience for all.
